DKP

We are using a zero sum fixed price DKP system that is focused on rewarding people for turning up to the newest content and killing bosses. This system shifts the focus away from storing up large sums of DKP over multiple instances to get highest tier loot to earning DKP in seperate instances and spending them in those instances only. We hope this will encourage players to turn up to the newest raid content on a regular basis. There will be a system that rewards long term members of the guild for their dedication and is currently being planned to be implemented by Ulduar, it will reward players but not be involved in loot distributation (see the next section).

Here is the summary of the DKP system.

* DKP will be reset with each new expansion.
* The new system will be based on Zero Sum with Fixed Prices.
* There is no main or offset costs or priority, we will instead encourage common courtesy among members and will discourage people taking secondary role loot at the detriment of the guild.
* Item Costs are 100 DKP for your first purchase in a particular slot (i.e. bracers) and 25 for subsequent purchases in that same slot.
* Members will get priority over Non-members, and Trials will get priority over the Alt+Friend rank (should they for whatever reason be in a raid).
* DKP will be earned and spent in individual instances (i.e. Naxxramas DKP is earned and spent in Naxxramas alone and can't be spent or earned in another instance).
* New instances begin at zero DKP for everyone.
* Left over DKP from trivialised zones is coverted to GPS for the long term member rewards (below).
* Equal DKP situations are resolved with a /roll of 100 between participants.

Member Rewards Scheme, GPS

This is a system that is aimed at rewarding long term members for their commitment to the guild. The basis of this is that anyone who is in positive DKP after a zone becomes trivial and DKP is no longer used in that zone can be rewarded by being able to purchase raiding consumables, gems, enchants, armour kits or even repairs from the guild bank to ease the cost of raiding. We hope this will encourage people to attend raids in which there are not alot of loot drops for them.

Long standing members who are constantly negative when an instance becomes trivial may find it hard for themselves to earn GPS, but we believe such members have been rewarded well through item drops from raid encounters. They should not feel threatened by people with high GPS due to the fact that GPS will never be used to determine epic loot allocation. Thank you for reading this sticky if you are a potential recruit, remember if asked in your application between "dogs and cats" the correct answer is Ninja.

Here are the bullet points.

* Points that reward people for their lifetime commitment to the guild
* Can be earned from turning up to 25 man raids 10 minutes before start time (ontime points).
* Can be spent on consumables, and repairs from guild bank.
* Can't be spent on DKP, Epic Items or traded in for Gold.
* We will continue to expand the GPS system and give members more choices on which to spend their GPS.

Handling Loot Distribution

For newer members to the guild getting used to how a new guild handles loot can be a trial by fire so here is an explaination in detail of how Kokoda handles loot distribution both fairly and quickly in order to maximize potential raiding time. The actions taken by the master looter and raid members is listed here in order though a master looter may skip over a step to save time while DKP is being checked.

1. Boss is slain, raid immediately loots badges or quest items unless instructed not to do so.
2. Boss loot is linked in full to the raid, the order is determined by the game. Loot is linked from top to bottem in the looting window.
3. A single item (working from the top down) is linked and interested parties /roll 100 to signify their insterest in an item (the roll is not important unless we are at an equal DKP situation), parties who would like the item but are willing to pass to anyone else for any reason /roll 1 (a roll of 1 is essentially "i'll take it if no one else wants it" roll).
4. The highest person on DKP is announced and a 5 second warning is given, after which the item is awarded to that player unless anymore rolls are made. If no one rolls at all a 5 second warning is given for disenchanting after which the item is disenchanted (in the case of BoP item) or banked (in the case of BoE items).
5. Step 3 and 4 repeat untill there is no loot remaining.
